Morihiro Saito Shihan was the highest “ranked” Aikido Master in the world and longest direct student of Aikido’s Founder, Professor Morihei Ueshiba (1946-1969). From 1969-2002, Saito Shihan was the sole chief instructor at the Founder’s Dojo and Aiki-Shrine caretaker–both located in Iwama, Ibaraki, Japan.
